Terms & Conditions

Grooming

​

We take the upmost care for you furry friends to ensure the health, safety & welfare of your dog is our main priority. However, it is your responsibility to make us aware of any health conditions or allergies your dog has or has had in the past.

Matted coats

​

Dematting can be a painful and distressing procedure. Where we consider the coat to be severely matted, the coat will be shaved off with clippers. This is not a painful procedure but may result in a short trim and uncover red or sore skin where the matts have been close to the skin. Dematting will also require an extra charge to the groom to cover sharpening of blades and extra time taken.

Discontinuation of grooming

​

We reserve the right to terminate any groom if there is a possibility of injury to the groomer or dog due to the dog showing stress of the grooming process.

You must inform us prior to your appointment if your dog displays aggressive behaviour. This allows us to access the risk to ourselves.

​

Emergencies

​

In the event of an emergency, The Canine Cabin will immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for your pet and attempts to contact you will be made.

​

Vaccinations & Parasites

​

It is your responsibility to ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations prior to any groom. You must inform us prior to any appointment if you suspect your pet is suffering from any parasite.

Photographs & Social media

​

We always take before & after photos to use on our social media. Please let us know if you wish for your dog to not appear on our social media pages. 

​

Cancellations

​

We understand plans change and appointments may need to be changed or cancelled. It is important that a minimum of 48 hours notice is given if cancelling an appointment. If this notice is by 24 hours 50% charge of the groom fee may be charged. For less than 24 hours the full appointment fee will be charged. We understand there can be extenuating circumstances and consideration will be given.

Privacy policy

​

As a customer of The Canine Cabin, it is necessary for us to hold some information about you and your pet. We will never share any of your details with anyone else. All personal data is stored securely.

​

Payments

​

We accept payment by cash or card only.

We will let you know when its almost time to pick up your pooch, it is really important you are on time. A 15 minute grace period is given after the collection time and then £5 is charged for every 15 minutes there after. Unfortunately, this is necessary as appointments after yours may be taken by aggressive dogs.
